Networks won’t air Saudi ‘anti-terrorism’ ad
Saudi propagandists are “trying to get in through the back door” after national cable television providers refused to air hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of Saudi-produced advertisements.
In Washington, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia is spending a reported $10 million on a US propaganda blitz to convince the public that it is a reliable ally in the war against terrorism. Blocked so far at the national level, the Saudis are trying to sell the ads to local TV affiliates.
