Pentagon reveals Iraqi denial and deception

A Defense Intelligence Agency briefing reveals the extent of Saddam Hussein’s denial and deception operations to conceal his continued development of weapons of mass destruction.

Made public on October 8, the briefing describes “a deliberate, methodical, extensive and well-organized national-level, strategic effort, which aims at deceiving not just the United States, not just the United Nations or even the public media, but, in fact, the entire world.”
