Philippines vows to fight back if assaulted by China
The Philippines’ military chief said Thursday that its forces would defend themselves with the same level of force if they come under assault from China again. This comes after China’s coast guard rammed and damaged two Philippine navy boats in the South China Sea. Chinese coast guards also seized rifles and equipment from Filipino navy personnel.
NTD spoke to retired colonel Grant Newsham, senior fellow at the Center for Security Policy, about the news. He said the United States should support the Philippines, and that the Chinese Communist Party is paying so much attention to the Philippines because of the regime’s plan to invade Taiwan.
