Thirty-four House Republicans defied their leadership yesterday. They insisted that Congress actually have a real role in trade agreements, not simply be a rubber-stamp for whatever Barack Obama decides is acceptable.

That’s imperative since Obama’s past record of foreign deal-making has been an unbroken string of disasters. For example, recall: his negotiations with an un-“reset” Russia; his efforts to normalize relations with Iran and Cuba; and his trade of five top Taliban commanders for one U.S. deserter.

Today, the House can finish off President Obama’s bid to obtain a blank check via legislation that will effectively ensure future approval of his disastrous Trans-Pacific Partnership, now rightly ridiculed as “Obamatrade.”

Please urge your representative to reject Trade Promotion Authority – and protect us from the President’s next one-sided and anti-constitutional nightmare: Obamatrade.
