Restore Iran Sanctions

Secretary of State John Kerry insists Congress not add new sanctions against Iran in the wake of an interim nuclear deal with the mullahs that eases them. Yet, there are compelling reasons for lawmakers to reinvigorate the sanctions regime.

For starters, the interim deal does not “freeze” the Iranian nuclear weapons program, as President Obama has claimed. And the administration has reportedly told Israel that Iran has not garnered just $6 billion dollars from this lousy agreement; it is getting $20-25 billion. That’s probably understated too, since foreign businesses and governments are frantic to do their own deals with the mullahs.
