Hezbollah’s call for a global suicide bombing campaign should heighten concerns that American shopping malls, restaurants, playgrounds and movie theaters will soon become killing fields for Islamist terrorists.

In two recent speeches, Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah exhorted supporters to export suicide bombings around the world. “Martyrdom operations — suicide bombings — should be exported outside Palestine,” he said. “I encourage Palestinians to take suicide bombings worldwide. Don’t be shy about it.”

The sheik delivered his second speech on the first day of the Christian holiday season of Advent.

The large network across the United States of support groups for Hezbollah and other Palestinian terrorist organizations makes the sheik’s speeches even more ominous.

Most of those groups, or their leaders as individuals, are involved in overt political and fundraising work. The federal government officially has shut some of them down as alleged funders of terrorism, but paradoxically has courted others as “partners” in the war on terrorists – even though they refuse to denounce groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and al Qaeda by name.
