With the Democratic and Republican presidential nominations now seemingly set, we need to focus on the most important aspect of the job – especially in the next four years: keeping us safe from all enemies, foreign and domestic. The increasingly ominous rise of Communist China will make that a particular challenge.

Recent “dialogues” with top U.S. officials in Singapore and Beijing showcased the PRC’s ambition to be a superpower – not just in its region, but globally. The Chinese contemptuously signaled that status will be achieved at the expense of an America reduced to a “paper tiger.”

So, do Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump understand that China is using economic warfare, cyber attacks, technology theft, land grabs and a massive military build-up to displace and, if necessary, defeat the United States? And more to the point, what are they going to do about it?
