The FBI Must Do Its Job on Clinton Emailgate

Will they or won’t they? The FBI reportedly is prepared to recommend the indictment of Hillary Clinton on charges relating to her mishandling of classified information on the unsecured personal email server she exclusively used as Secretary of State.

The evidence supporting such charges that is already in the public domain is damning. Thousands of her emails involved classified documents, including some containing extremely sensitive secrets. Three of her senior staff are known to have removed such documents’ classification markings and sent them through unprotected channels. Mrs. Clinton herself on at least one occasion ordered such a violation of the law.

America’s enemies have benefited, and our national security’s been damaged.

The FBI must do its job, even if – as is widely expected – the terminally politicized Obama Justice Department exercises what it calls “prosecutorial discretion” to protect the prospective Democratic presidential nominee.
