Retired Marine Col. Grant Newsham tells NTD Taiwanese leader Tsai Ing-wen’s meeting with U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on April 5 symbolically strengthens U.S. support for the island. But, he says, signs of U.S. reticence in its support are also showing through.
