Center President Fred Fleitz appeared on the Ingraham Angle to discuss the ongoing investigation into the surveillance of General Michael Flynn. With respect to the FBI report concerning General Flynn, Fleitz said “I’m not sure everything we’ve heard about this is accurate.” Fleitz noted that the typical procedure on these types of reports is to mask the names of those included, but “according to James Comey, and a recent House Intelligence Committee transcript, this name was not masked.”

Center President Fred Fleitz appeared on the Ingraham Angle to discuss the ongoing investigation into the surveillance of General Michael Flynn. With respect to the FBI report on General Flynn, Fleitz said “I’m not sure everything we’ve heard about this is accurate.” Fleitz noted that the typical procedure on these types of reports is to mask the names of those included, but “according to James Comey, and a recent House Intelligence Committee transcript, this name was not masked.”

Fleitz said this raises the question of how exactly the wiretaps done on General Flynn were carried out. “Was there a FISA or other court order to spy on General Flynn?” Fleitz asked. Fleitz explained that “what happened is that they were spying on Kislyak and they were pretending that they picked up Flynn as incidental.” Comey’s sharing of this phone call with policy makers should have gone under an unmasking procedure, according to Fleitz. The fact that Comey didn’t follow this procedure is a “pretty major violation of the rules.”
