Today, President Obama takes yet another step in his fundamental transformation of the United States. He is giving the UN Security Council the opportunity to vote on his fatally flawed Obamabomb deal with Iran before the U.S. Congress has its say.

Make no mistake, this is not only a fresh affront to the Constitution – which requires that a deal such as this be considered as a treaty, which two-thirds of the Senate must approve for it to be ratified. It symbolically asserts the primacy of a “world government” over ours.

By preempting Congress, Obama clearly intends to neuter it. The question is: Will swing Democrats in the House and Senate recognize that this further – and potentially terminal – erosion of their institutions demands rejection of a fatally flawed accord, not supine acquiescence to it?
