China’s ‘worst case scenario’ preparation signals war could be on horizon

Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping has a message for China’s top national security officials: prepare for “worst-case scenarios.” NTD spoke to Retired Marine Colonel Grant Newsham, who said that the message is related to China’s potential plans for war, with Taiwan likely in the crosshairs. Newsham said China is trying to “sanction proof” China by building coal power plants and other measures to protect it from Western curbs if Beijing decides to use force somewhere.
