New management team at CSP

The Center for Security Policy’s Board of Directors has accepted with regret the resignation of the organization’s President and CEO for the past three years, Fred Fleitz. Mr. Fleitz has accepted a position with the America First Policy Institute. The CSP Board and staff wish him well in his future endeavors.

The Center has smoothly transitioned to a management team that emphasizes continuity by drawing on the skills of several of the organization’s most experienced leaders: the Center’s Founder and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, Frank Gaffney; its longtime Chief Financial Officer Shaun Seifert in a new role as Chief Operating Officer; and Morgan Wirthlin, the Center’s Chief of Staff.

The management team will be greatly augmented by the addition of Don Woodsmall, Esq., a member of the Center’s Board of Directors who is serving as interim President and CEO. Mr. Woodsmall brings to the job decades of accomplishment as an attorney, real estate developer, entrepreneur and practitioner in for-profit and non-profit corporate governance.

This evolution in the Center’s leadership has already infused the organization with fresh energy and inspiration to the CSP team – qualities that will position it well in particular for the critical year ahead. Unfortunately, enemies, foreign and domestic, have been emboldened by what they correctly perceive as the present U.S. leadership’s irresolution, distractedness and fostering of America’s decline. Hence, the Center for Security Policy’s “Special Forces in the War of Ideas” will be redoubling its efforts to present the American people – and those who represent them –with principled and innovative national security analysis and actionable policy options to promote, instead, the one, time-tested formula for securing freedom: peace through strength.
