Wurmser: Could Israel’s war with Hamas lead to World War III?

In this week’s edition of Behind The Headlines Simon and Regan discuss Hamas’s horrific terrorist attack against Israel on Saturday 7th October and whether this could trigger a regional war, leading to World War Three.

The IDF has launched a limited military operation in Gaza with the Israeli public demanding that Hamas be destroyed. At the same time Hezbollah has launched over ten rockets into Northern Israel risking a major military confrontation and behind this conflict is the Iranian regime stoking the fires of war in the region.

The Americans have deployed state-of-the-art aircraft carriers to Israel in the northern coastal port of Haifa and long-range US bombers have landed in Israel. This is to prevent Iran from escalating this conflict that would lead the entire world into war.
