America Must Stand With Israel After Recent Radical Islamist Missile Attacks

Over the weekend, radical Islamist groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad fired almost 700 rockets and missiles from Gaza against Israel.  Israel responded with airstrikes that hit 350 terrorist targets.  An estimated four Israelis and 25 Palestinians were killed by the attacks.  A tentative cease-fire negotiated by Egypt went into effect early today.

Some of the missiles fired from Gaza reached deep into Israel and may have been sophisticated missiles imported from Iran.

Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system reportedly intercepted 90% of missiles – 240 – fired at populated areas.

This is a time for all Americans to put politics aside and support Israel, one of our closest and most important allies.  There needs to be bipartisan condemnations of the missile attacks on Israel, including by Republican and Democratic congressional leaders and all 21 Democratic presidential candidates.  Radical Islamist terrorists and their Iranian sponsor who want to destroy the State of Israel must know that America is united in its support for Israel and will do whatever is necessary to defend Israel’s freedom and security.
