Jonathan Hollerman

Jonathan Hollerman is a veteran U.S. Air Force S.E.R.E. (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) Specialist, where he instructed military servicemembers in numerous survival skills including  wilderness living, shelter construction, fire building, map and compass navigation, backpacking, food and water procurement, wilderness medicine and first aid, signaling and rescue techniques, escape and evasion, conduct after capture, anti-interrogation techniques.

Jonathan's possesses a lifetime of professional work in the area of disaster preparedness specifically surrounding scenarios that can cause electric grid blackouts, including high altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP).  He is an advisor to multiple organizations in this space, serves as Deputy Director at the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, and is considered the world's foremost expert on the psychological and physiological effects of starvation in the aftermath of a long-term collapse event.

Jonathan is a three-time #1 Bestselling Author in Experimental Psychology and the Survival and Emergency Preparedness genres. starvation and desperation after an extended collapse scenario. He is the author of two emergency preparedness guides and three instructional-fiction novels. In 2019, at the behest of the joint-services Electromagnetic Defense Task Force (EDTF), Hollerman authored a white paper for military training on the effects of starvation psychosis upon military personnel. 

Jonathan is also a general aviation pilot trained on High Performance STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) aircraft and is experienced in selecting and retrofitting multiple airframes, both fixed wing and helicopter, to survive and fly after a HEMP or other emergency situations if and when commercial airspace is shut down.

Jonathan owns and operates Grid Down Consulting, where he assesses, designs, and builds custom off grid and EMP hardened survival retreat compounds for interested clients.
