Is China’s military too corrupt to win a war?
Recently there have been reports that Xi Jinping has been purging leaders in China’s military, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), because of rampant corruption. For example, there were reports that rocket fuel was replaced with water in missiles, implying that China’s military might not be combat ready because of all the corruption. Is this true? Joining us in this episode is Colonel Grant Newsham, a former Marine intelligence officer who has lived in Taiwan as part of a Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs fellowship. He’s also the author of the book “When China Attacks: A Warning to America.”
