Japan, Philippines elevate ties, send message to China: Newsham

Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is on a state visit of Japan. He’s receiving the highest levels of hospitality, including a meeting with Japan’s Emperor. On Thursday, both nations agreed to strengthen defense cooperation.
