CSP President Tommy Waller and Director of Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Kyle Shideler made a special appearance in the Permian Basin to discuss the Center’s important work, how it benefits the American people, some of the most dangerous threats facing the nation, and what can be done about them. They discussed both ideological and infrastructure related threats ranging from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), to jihadist terrorism, to subjects such as nuclear waste and the vulnerability of the electric grid – giving people in the Permian Basin hope that they can become resilient to these threats.
