As America prepares to celebrate her 250th birthday, I find myself thinking not only about what our founders declared, but about what they entrusted to future generations.
The American experiment was never guaranteed to continue on its own.
It had to be defended. It had to be understood. It had to be strengthened. And it had to be passed on.
That responsibility belongs to every generation.
At the Center for Security Policy, our scholars have prepared a special America at 250 reflection series on the republic we inherited, the principles that made it possible, and the threats that require serious vigilance today.
I hope you will take a few minutes this Independence Day weekend to read and reflect on these essays.
May this Independence Day be a time of gratitude, reflection, and renewed resolve to keep the republic entrusted to us.
Semper Fidelis,

The steady guidance of the wise men who secured individual liberty has created the most prosperous nation known to man. As the beneficiaries of freedom, may we remember and honor their sacrifice.

No amount of likes or retweets will preserve your liberty or your safety. The only way to establish self-governance is to self-govern. If we begin today, we may find, as Adams did, that after a decade of this basic work the Revolution lives again in the minds of the people.

May we as a nation submit to the will of our Creator, and may we be “Semper Fidelis” for our next 250 years.

America has never been a normal country. It is bound to freedom, faith, home, and the fate of those who resist tyranny.

Foreign tools and dupes get the applause and trust of a people who surrender their sovereignty. A problem as old as our country.
As America marks 250 years of independence, help CSP continue providing uncompromised analysis and unconventional solutions to keep Americans safer.
